Charmd was started by Thomas after dealing with the same frustrating dating app loop: weak matches, ghosted conversations, and profiles that did not show the best version of the person behind them.
Our Story
Charmd started from a personal problem. Thomas was using dating apps and kept running into the same pattern: not enough good matches, conversations that died, and the feeling that the whole process was slowly wearing down his confidence.
He tried using general AI tools for dating photos and profile help, but the results were not good enough. They were either too generic, too fake-looking, or not built around how Tinder, Hinge, Bumble, and similar apps actually work.
So he started building his own system. It took about a year of iteration to make the product useful for more than quick replies. Charmd became an AI dating app focused on the parts that usually matter first: better photos, stronger profiles, and message help that feels practical instead of scripted.
The philosophy is simple: dating apps are partly a volume game, but volume only helps if the profile is not leaking attention. Charmd exists to help people find better matches faster, waste less time on weak presentation, and show up with a profile that is easier to trust.
